A woman has shared her emotional experience online after revealing that her marriage ended and her former husband allegedly went on to marry her best friend.
In a viral video, the woman dismissed claims that she simply abandoned her marriage without explanation, saying people should not judge situations they do not fully understand.
She explained that she went through what she described as pain, disappointment and mistreatment before deciding to walk away and leave the matter to God.
“It does not even make sense for someone to just say she packed and left just like that,” she said.
According to her, the situation became more painful because the two people she trusted the most were allegedly involved.
“After all that, after the mistreating, pain and everything, the husband ended up marrying your own best friend. What does that mean?” she asked.
She said the development left her feeling betrayed by both her former husband and her friend.
“Me and my husband are no more, and the two people you trusted ended up betraying you. They really disappointed me,” she said.
The woman explained that she chose not to publicly share details about the marriage earlier because of her upbringing and values, saying she was not comfortable exposing private family matters online.
“I’m not that kind of person that will just come and say my own side of the story. In our culture, they don’t train us like that,” she stated.
She also reacted to rumours circulating online about her personal life, saying she was unaware of claims that she was dealing with an infection.
Reflecting on the separation, she acknowledged that both she and her former husband had their own reasons for moving forward.
“There’s a different reason for me to leave and for his own different reason to marry my friend. So it’s not a big deal. That’s what he decided to do,” she said.
Despite the experience, the woman said she has chosen to focus on her happiness and future.
“I choose my peace and happiness over everything, and thank God I’m living my own better life,” she added.
She expressed hope of finding love again in the future, saying she hopes to make the right choice if she decides to remarry.
