Nollywood actor-turned-preacher Woli Arole has cautioned social media users who are now apologising to Lola Omotayo Okoye after previously judging and criticising her over the long-running Psquare family feud.

The preacher’s comments come after Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, made fresh allegations about how his late mother and brothers allegedly treated his wife, Lola, during her pregnancy.

Following Peter’s revelations, some social media users who had previously blamed Lola for the strained relationship between the Okoye brothers began publicly apologising to her.

Reacting to the development, Woli Arole urged people to be more careful before forming opinions about situations based solely on what they see or hear online.

He noted that many people often accept one-sided or inaccurate narratives as facts, stressing that such judgments can have serious consequences for people’s reputations and lives.

“I see a lot of people now saying, ‘Lola, we are sorry’, same people that judged and castigated her. See, listen, don’t be too quick to judge, especially on social media.

“A lot of wrong narratives that people follow, and this has damaged reputations and lives!! Be careful on this street of social media.”

Woli’s message has sparked conversations about the dangers of rushing to conclusions when only one side of a public dispute is known.

The Psquare controversy has continued to attract widespread attention following Peter’s series of revelations about his relationship with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

Peter has made several allegations concerning the group’s finances, management, family disagreements and the treatment of his wife, Lola.

Jude and Paul have responded to some of the claims, while other individuals who were reportedly familiar with the family have also shared their perspectives on the long-running dispute.
