Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has shared his thoughts on marriage and the age at which people should settle down.

The newlywed, who recently married content creator Jarvis, argued that financial circumstances often influence the traditional expectations surrounding marriage.

Speaking in a recent video, Peller addressed people who question why some young people choose to get married early.

Peller speaks on marriage age

Peller suggested that people should not necessarily wait until their 30s or 40s before getting married simply because it is considered the norm.

According to him, some parents encourage their children to delay marriage because of the financial challenges they faced while growing up.

He urged people who genuinely love their partners to express their intentions instead of allowing age-based expectations to determine their decisions.

Peller said:

“For all of you that are saying things like, ‘He is young and he’s getting married,’ come closer make I tell you something.

“For those of you wey your papa and mama dey tell make you get to this kind age before you get married, let me tell you what is behind it. It’s poverty.

“If you love woman, dey show her quick quick. All that one wey una mama dey marry at 30 and 40 na because our mama and papa no get that time…”

Peller’s comments have sparked discussions online, particularly following his recent wedding to Jarvis, with social media users sharing different opinions on whether age or financial stability should determine when people get married.
