Singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has reacted after Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu and other supporters took to the streets of Lagos to publicly demonstrate their support for him amid his ongoing family dispute.

Maduagwu joined a group of supporters in Lagos on Monday, August 10, where they were seen carrying banners and placards expressing solidarity with Peter.

The actor later shared videos from the demonstration on Instagram, explaining that he deliberately chose to publicly stand behind the singer.

He wrote:

“I promised myself to support Peter Psquare all the way, that is why I’m on the busy road of Lagos to support Mr P. I’m not like other celebs, I can’t keep quiet after seeing all Mr P went through, nobody deserve to go through that.”

Peter subsequently reacted to Maduagwu’s post in the comment section with emotional and prayer emojis, appearing to acknowledge the actor’s public show of support.

The development comes amid renewed attention to the long-running dispute between Peter, his twin brother Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) and their elder brother Jude Okoye.

Peter recently opened up extensively about the family issues, making a series of allegations concerning the former P-Square group and his relationship with his brothers.

His revelations have triggered widespread reactions, with celebrities and members of the public taking different sides in the increasingly heated controversy.

Maduagwu’s decision to move beyond online commentary and join supporters on the streets has now added another dimension to the growing public support for Mr P.
