Nollywood actress, politician and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has opened up about the unexpected impact of reconciling with her ex-husband, saying her story has helped several women rebuild their families.
According to Tonto, after news of her reconciliation became public, hundreds of women reached out to ask how she found the strength to forgive. Although she couldn’t respond to everyone, she personally connected with women whose experiences closely matched her own.
She revealed that, by God’s grace, at least 10 women have since reconciled with their partners, found peace, healed from past hurts and embraced healthier co-parenting relationships.
Sharing a painting of herself, her son and her ex-husband, Tonto encouraged women struggling with bitterness to choose forgiveness. She stressed that forgiveness is not about excusing someone’s actions, but about freeing yourself from emotional pain.
> “Ever since my reconciliation with my ex-husband, hundreds of women have reached out asking the same question: How did you learn to forgive?” she wrote.
> “Today, to the glory of God, at least 10 women have been reconciled, restoring peace, healing hearts and stepping into healthy co-parenting.”
Tonto also reminded her followers that true healing comes from God, adding that real closure isn’t found in people, but in God.
