Nollywood veteran Rita Edochie has sent another strong message amid her ongoing legal battle with Judy Austin, making it clear that she has no intention of backing down anytime soon.
The actress took to social media with a lengthy and defiant post, claiming that people have started pleading with her over the matter. However, Rita insisted that she remains firm in her position and is prepared to face whatever comes her way.
Describing herself as “unfading,” “unwavering” and a “living tiger,” the actress said pressure would only make her stronger.
Rita maintained that she knows what she stands for and would not allow anyone to intimidate her or force her to abandon her position.
She also warned that while she prefers peace and often chooses silence, people should not mistake her quietness for fear or weakness.
Her latest outburst comes days after reports that Judy Austin filed a lawsuit against Rita, seeking ₦1 billion in damages alongside a retraction, apology, ₦50 million payment and post-judgment interest, among other demands.
Reacting to the lawsuit, Rita had questioned Judy’s use of the name Judy Austin Yul-Edochie, challenging her to produce a marriage certificate if she wanted to be addressed by the name.
Rita also declared that she was ready to meet Judy in court, insisting that she would not be intimidated by the legal battle.
With her latest statement, the veteran actress appears determined to continue standing her ground as the dispute moves forward.
