The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has released details of her burial arrangements following her tragic death.
The Yoruba actress’ death was announced earlier this week, leaving colleagues, friends and fans mourning the loss of the movie star.
According to a burial announcement shared on the actress’ social media page, Temitope Osoba will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Her burial service is scheduled to take place at Saint James’ Anglican Church, Iperu Road, Ogun State, after which her remains will be interred at Iperu Cemetery.
Before her burial, a candlelight service and Artist Night will be held in her honour on Tuesday, August 11, at LTV 8, Ikeja. The event is being organised as part of activities to celebrate her life and legacy.

The development comes as tributes continue to pour in for the late actress.
Following her death, actor Alesh Sanni addressed reports surrounding the circumstances of her passing, urging the public to stop spreading unverified claims and allow the actress’ family and loved ones to mourn privately.
Actress Habibat Jinad also shared an emotional account of her final conversation with Temitope. She revealed that she had spoken with her on the phone and prayed with her for several minutes after feeling led to do so.
Habibat said Temitope’s death left her shocked and reminded people of the importance of checking on their loved ones, noting that nobody truly knows what another person may be going through.
Temitope had previously spoken publicly about her health journey and the challenges she faced after being diagnosed with cancer. In an interview last year, she revealed that doctors had advised her that she might have difficulty conceiving for several years because of the medication she was taking.
Her senior colleague, Foluke Daramola, had also previously sought support for Temitope during her health struggles and revealed that she underwent breast surgery.
While marking her 40th birthday, Temitope reflected on surviving cancer and described the experience as one that changed her outlook on life.
As the Yoruba film industry continues to mourn her passing, her family has now invited friends, colleagues and well-wishers to join them in giving the actress a final farewell.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
