Judy Austin’s former husband, Mr Emmanuel, has reacted to the alleged N1 billion defamation lawsuit, insisting that the legal action will not stop him from speaking about his children or seeking access to them.

In a video making the rounds online, Emmanuel appeared unfazed by the reported amount involved in the lawsuit, questioning whether the legal action was intended to silence him.

Emmanuel challenges claims over children

Emmanuel questioned a claim contained in the alleged lawsuit that his last communication with Judy was in 2018.

He asked what had happened since then and questioned whether he had been blocked from contacting Judy or seeing their children.

He said:

“You don’t know me very well. Do you think that the lawsuit can scare me away from asking for my children? The answer is no.”

He also accused Judy of allegedly keeping the children away from him and questioned why he had not been able to maintain contact with them.

“Either I have my children or I go to jail”

Despite the reported legal action, Emmanuel maintained that he would continue pursuing the matter.

In a strong statement, he said:

“Either I have my children or I go to jail.”

He also questioned the basis of the defamation allegation, saying he understood defamation to involve making false claims about another person.

Emmanuel recalls alleged meeting with Judy

The businessman further recalled an alleged encounter with Judy, claiming that she travelled from Enugu to Nnewi in an attempt to resolve issues between them.

He specifically mentioned an alleged stay at a hotel in Nnewi and challenged Judy to confirm whether the encounter took place.

Emmanuel concluded by insisting that the lawsuit would not silence him.

“I will be speaking till I put on that cloth and go to jail. I will be speaking.”

The allegations and claims made by Emmanuel have not been independently verified. The dispute has continued to generate reactions online, particularly over his claims concerning his children and the reported legal action.
