“I’m aware my detractors are plotting. I’m solidly on ground!”

Iyabo Ojo has faced controversies

The actress has previously found herself at the centre of several controversies.

During the premiere of her movie, she responded to claims concerning her goddaughter, Fola Tinubu Kayamata, clarifying that she does not use Kayamata and therefore could not recommend it to anyone. She also explained that her relationship with Fola was that of a godmother helping her with her business and legal matters.

Iyabo also defended her decision to promote the Murtala Muhammed International Airport after facing criticism online. She said she was not paid to promote the airport and had agreed to help showcase developments there out of her love for Nigeria.

She was also questioned by the EFCC following reports concerning money spraying at her daughter’s wedding. Iyabo explained that she had initially understood the law differently before receiving clarification from the commission.
