Nigerian dancer and choreographer Poco Lee has reportedly been remanded in a United Kingdom prison, according to a claim made by UK-based media personality Oluomo of Derby.
In a post shared on X, Oluomo alleged that the dancer is currently in custody while awaiting his next court appearance.
Next hearing reportedly scheduled for September
According to Oluomo, Poco Lee’s next court hearing is expected to take place in the second week of September 2026.
He said the hearing is expected to be a plea hearing, where Poco Lee would typically indicate whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty to the alleged offence.
Oluomo also stated that he plans to attend the proceedings to offer support to Poco Lee and the wider Nigerian community in the UK.
‘Allow the legal process to take its course’
The UK-based media personality urged members of the public not to rush to conclusions while the case is ongoing.
He stressed that Poco Lee remains innocent unless and until a court establishes otherwise.
“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison,” Oluomo reportedly wrote.
He added that the upcoming hearing would allow the legal process to move forward and urged Nigerians to allow the court to handle the matter.
At this stage, the claims about Poco Lee’s remand and the upcoming hearing are based on Oluomo of Derby’s public statement. No details of the alleged offence were provided in the report, and the presumption of innocence applies unless a court determines otherwise.
