Nollywood actress Aminat Ajoke Abubakar has expressed deep gratitude to veteran actor Damola Olatunji after finally completing her Higher National Diploma (HND).
The actress shared an emotional message appreciating Damola for playing a major role in her educational journey, revealing that he sponsored her National Diploma (ND) when she had no one to turn to.
According to Aminat, after completing her ND in 2015, Damola encouraged her to further her education and obtain an HND. However, she initially declined because she did not want to become a burden to him.
She recalled that when she later introduced her husband to Damola and expressed her desire to get married, the actor advised her to finish her education first.
Aminat said she and Damola’s then-partner, Bukola Arugba, had to plead with him before he eventually agreed to her marriage plans.
Even after she got married and welcomed a child, Damola reportedly continued asking when she would return to school.
Sadly, Aminat’s husband later passed away. During that difficult period, she said Damola reached out to comfort her and once again reminded her about completing her education.
Today, she has finally achieved that dream.
Sharing photos of herself with Damola over the years, the actress wrote an emotional tribute, thanking him for believing in her and refusing to let her give up.
She said his constant encouragement, prayers and support ultimately paid off, adding that she had finally made him proud.
Aminat also appealed to her followers to help her tag Damola and appreciate him for the impact he had made in her life.
Her story has highlighted the impact of having someone who believes in you, particularly during difficult moments when giving up seems easier.
